Predator Yautja Tab: crafting

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Allow for several craftings using hides or special components as predator.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Will grant more roleplay opportunity, grant more chances to honour warriors with 'personalized' weapons, etc.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Upon butchering certain xenos various crafting materials could be acquired.
Crusher crest, ravager claws, spitter acid glands, boiler virulant acid glands, etc.
Furthermore, if the idea entertain you, allow the use of bones from remains and other such things.

Using these materials, a Yautja could craft several equipments and objects.

(All of these are examples)
Xeno-based crafting:
  • Tail + Metal rod = Xeno-Spear
  • Crusher crest + Metal + Riot Shield(?) = Large Alien Shield
  • Ravager claw + Plasteel = Large Alien Blade
  • Ravager claw + Large Harpoon(Yautja) = Large Alien Spear
Etchetera...

Human-based crafting:
Entertain me with suggestions? I guess you could process it to make a nape.

Monkey-based crafting:
Mask, toys, your ideas are welcome... The hide itself is nice.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Honestly i think it would be rather ingenious of a pred to wear a (Crafting based: So you decap the human get out your trusty alien blade and bam cut off the face.) human face as a mask, but I don't know how that would work in the face of the pred lore and all but alas I'll put it out there.

AMAZING idea. it also allows for interesting RP, such as a human proving himself by killing a ravager, then the pred making them a ravager claw blade (which i assume would be better then a machete) +1. Also, crafting should require the ceremonial blade that yautja love to carry around.

I like this idea, and when I suggested it in minichat figured it would go like this:

Runners: weak knife, marine combat knife eqivalent

Sentinels: throwable neurotox sac

Drones: nothing, shameful.

Hunters: short sword from tail

Spitters: set of neurotox grenades

Hivelord: consumable that restores plasma stores

Carrier: set of nutrient rich tubes

Crusher: head crest riot shield (high bullet and explosive resist)

Ravager: set of ravager claw swords (superior to other pred weapons)

Prae: acid spit proof armor

Queen: combine with facemask, grants immunity to screech

Well then, this would promote interesting RP and rewards to be given to humans when defeating powerful foes, perhaps the quality would vary depending on how upgraded the Alien is?

I thought about making weapon crafting an actual part of the game, given what I want to work on next. So this is possible, though not a priority.

It would be hella neat to be able to actually do something with the hides we collect. Perhaps armor decorations too?

For the acid I thought something along the line of coating your blade into it, etchetera. Since some of the Yautja equipment have linings to protect against the Xenos mollecular acid it'd be interesting to see a blade that numbs the body or deals minor burn / toxin on hit.

+1 Good idea for predators, extends to marines and survivors as well if enough effort is put into the system at large.

+1. Preds aren't just combatants, they're also injenuius crafters, such as seen in one of the AvP, a predator turns a xenos tail into a spear, and it's head into a shield for a human.

On another note, I feel like my suggestion needs more crafting options for human. Even thou it may just be warnings and whatnot like hung unskinned humanoids... The preds need an incensitive to avoid focusing xenos just for a pair of cool combat swords and queen-skin sunglasses.

Use their skin for a nice comfy handle grip on your weapon. Turn the bodies and skeletons into gruesome totems.
