Psychological Profile
Han is driven by an obsessive need to follow in her mother's footsteps and an idealistic belief in the role of the USCM. These traits combine to make her a very dedicated soldier who doesn't hesitate to engage hostiles and pursue objectives, so much so that she has displayed a tendency to disregard her personal safety in the process. Several medical reviews have expressed alarm at her rate of injury, often exacerbated by her attempts to ignore them and continue operations. It is only due to her pattern of insubordination when ordered to medevac that she has not received any Purple Heart commendations.
Despite the nature of her career, Han continues to maintain an upbeat and optimistic demeanor when not engaged in combat. She is able to quickly form a positive perception of her fellow marines, even if it is not always reciprocated. Combined with her aforementioned behavior patterns, she is known to take unnecessary risks to ensure the safety of another marine. This can be inferred as a latent need to compensate for her lack of social aptitude; Han is not regarded as a very good listener, and has a tendency to ramble when a topic catches her interest.
Her current posting as a smartgun operator was chosen in light of her technical aptitude and lack of self-preservation. It is hoped that the support gunnery position will rein in her more reckless habits. As per her latest performance review, the opposite solution has been proposed: that is to say, enabling her behaviour by equipping her with enough armour to rival a tank.
