  Brief Background:
  Captain Jacque Devereaux began his service at the age of 22 as a Lieutenant in the United States Colonial Marines. Graduating from his class at the rank of 27th, in part due to over 50% percent of the class dropping out following the Cristóbal Incident. Lt. Devereaux was first assigned to the 24th Patrol Fleet’s USS Victory. Following several successful operations against smugglers and pirates, Lt. Devereaux was promoted to Commander as the Executive Officer of the USS Victory in 2174.
  
  Notably, his promotion to CDR is attributed to the events conducted by him during the Aurora incident. Reportedly, the USS Victory had been boarded by pirates from the large freighter class vessel 'Aurora' and terrorist 'Free Colonial' elements within the crew during a major operation on the planet below. During these events, Lieutenant Devereaux not only managed the marines below and their engagement to the point of success, but also the conflict shipside with remarkable success in rooting out the terrorists despite all of the Command Bridge Staff, excluding himself and one other Lieutenant, being executed by terrorists following the USS Victory's CIC being overrun in a covert operation conducted by terrorist elements within the crew.
  For his actions CPT Devereaux was awarded a Bronze Heart and Medal of Distinguished Conduct.
  
  After service in preventing a fledging, but intensely bloody insurrection on LV -296, CDR Devereaux was promoted to CPT on December 28th, 2180. Due to a lack of postings CPT Devereaux was assigned to Arcturus Naval Waystation on reserve duty. Several months later, a vacancy was found in the Akira-class patrol transport ship USS Almayer. Upon request he was assigned to the USS Almayer as the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Battalion of the 4th Brigade, "Falling Falcons", along with its Flagship the USS Almayer.
  
  As per agreement, CPT Devereaux received a bonus due to the inconveniences long-term status of the posting.

Heinz Mueller - CPT Mueller and CPT Devereaux have crossed paths several times, chiefly in the USCM Military Academy of West Virginia where CPT Devereaux was a Cadet and CPT Mueller a instructor. They later came into contact briefly during joint-operations against CLF forces following the Cristóbal Incident where CPT Mueller was leading the 2nd Battalion of the 4th Brigade 'Falling Falcons' and the then Ensign Devereaux was leading battered elements of the Third Tank Battalion of the 7th Brigade 'Big Blue' against CLF forces. CPT Devereaux has expressed interest in leading further operations with CDR Mueller.
Thomas Echard - CMP Echard and CPT Devereaux have crossed paths chiefly during CPT Devereaux's employment as a Executive Officer and Lieutenant aboard the USS Victory as well as onboard the Almayer where they were stationed for several months. According to CPT Devereaux, CMP Echard is a 'one of the smarter MPs, albeit soft and ery unprofessional at times.' Despite his scathing review, CPT Devereaux recommends CMP Echard to fellow CPTs who require a replacement CMP for simple, non-active combat postings provided they can deal with a increase in more 'curious' cases (often involving hugging), dates while on duty, and a CMP on squad comms getting friendly with the marines to the point of endangering his reputation as well as the local MP Departments. It should be noted, CPT Devereaux does not endorse CMP Echard for active-combat operation postings or for any form of promotion.

Frans Feuffer - CPT Frans Feiffer and CPT Devereaux have served successfully together occasionally for several years, most notably during CPT Devereaux employment aboard the USS Victory. CPT Deveraux and CPT Feiffer's relationship is, according to outside sources, amicable, with official reports indicating CPT Devereaux expressing some mention of possible joint operations between their two units.
