Jack Bright

Post by Evilkyle24 » 10 Jun 2015, 13:49

Full name: Jackson Matthew Bright

Nickname(s): Crazy Bastard

Age: 27

Birth date: July 7th

Gender: Male

Position: Squad Leader

Notable traits: Doctorate in medicine. Little concern for his own safety.

Persona: Jack Bright is devious, cunning, and ruthless. He's also insane, hence his nickname, Crazy Bastard. He lies like a champ and pulls stunts with no regard for his own safety simply out of boredom. However, he's also surprisingly gullible. Has a 'taking you with me' opinion on his foes. Jack will put himself in danger for his comrades, as he views their lives more important than his... that or he's just supremely overconfident. If his choices are run and hide, and possibly survive, or attack and most likely die but take an enemy with him, he'll chose the latter unless he has a greater plan.

History: Jack Bright joined the marines at the age of 25 after getting a doctorate in Medicine and Explosives Engineering. He lost his medical license after implanting a bomb in a gerbil to see if it could be used as an assassination weapon. He lied and acted his way past the psych exam, and was promoted to squad leader after showing a capacity to complete the mission even at the cost of everyone involved.

His ruthlessness and cunning had him sent on missions other marines outright refused, including riot control. Unfortunately, his homicidal nature showed in this position. After ending a riot quickly by executing the entire front line of the crowd and lobbing tear gas into the rest of it, he was immediately reassigned to the Sulaco with all the other fuck ups. The only reason he wasn't court martialed and discharged was due to his skills and personality traits.

During a particularly vicious riot control, he was killed in action and re-enlisted after cloning, earning the Black Heart medal and the title of Dead Man Walking, complete with the Dead Man armor and mask. (Donor gear (Not yet donated)),

After all, Centcomm loves remorseless killing machines.

Unfortunately, so do rival corporations.

Jack Bright has worked for the Syndicate in the past, and has shown an alarming capacity for mayhem. Because of this, they have expressed reluctance to work with him in the future, as he can compromise his own mission out of boredom.

Relations: Centcomm gives him all the shit jobs, hoping he'll get offed. Commanders notice that most of his form is covered in black ink.

He manages to stay in the employment of Nanotrasen due to a convoluted mess of paperwork, bribery, and simply not getting caught.

Though a Marine by day job, he is often assigned to Nanotrasen Stations where he is needed by the aforementioned organizations.

Basic appearance: Jack is 5' 10" with messy brown hair and brown eyes. He has a lean frame and a sharp face. He's in excellent physical condition, but something doesn't seem right about him, and when he smiles, madness often shines through.

Likes: Explosives, Guns, Killing things, Loyal Companions, his job.

Dislikes: Anyone Centcomm tells him to dislike, racists, people who doubt his capabilities even if he actually can't do what he's suggesting.

Strengths: Highly trained in medicine and explosives. Knows how to hack a door or vending machine. Fairly skilled with a rifle and in melee combat, understanding of guerrilla warfare. Ruthless. Knowledge of space law due to his many violations of it. 'Taking you with me' mentality. Little regard for his own safety.

Weaknesses: No training in robotics, only a rudimentary knowledge of construction. 'Taking you with me' mentality. Little regard for his own safety.

To give an example of behavior:

I ground a ravager up in the kitchen gibber and cooked him into a meat steak. The squad leader asked if I was really going to eat that after all the bullets we put it in, in addition to its alien nature.

I ate the steak and threw the plate at him.

I told him it tasted like chicken.
