Persona:
A compassionate, serious, disciplined and stoic woman, who is not that commonly seen to be smiling. She is confident of her own physical prowess, but can be rather awkward in crowds, preferring to keep to herself, instead of speaking to loud mouths, that tend to be the bigger part of the corp. She has a strong moral code, trying her best to adhere to the ten commandments, even if it is not always possible. She is obedient to her superiors, very rarely speaking against them, and refusing only the unreasonable commands that directly conflict with her morals. Meredith is also fairly honest, and will not shy away from critisizing fellow marine, if she feels the need to do so.
History:
Born to a rather pious catholic family, religion was a very important part in her life and during her childhood, she had spent most of her free time assisting the local church. Eventually, after finishing school, she has joined an orbital monastery. And thus, through years of clerical education and work, she became a nun. Such life did not last long, however, as in a rather cliched way, the station was attacked by pirates, and while help eventually arrived, the damage was done, several of the sisters were killed or kidnapped, and the criminals escaped.
She was angry with how things have turned, and this anger, along with admiration for the army, led her to join it at the age of 28. She was already very disciplined from her years as a nun so she did not have that much trouble following orders. The training while rigorous at first, did improve her physique.
This woman had several tours of duty, before finishing her contract with the army at the age of 36, and joining the USCM. Her long years in the military was an advantage, helping her to get through the boot camp without too much of a complication. Through years, she had several missions and seminaries, before entering Stasis for ten years.

Closely shaved head, lightly wrinkled face... Meredith is a rather short person, but sports fairly muscular arms. She has a tattoo of a cross on her left shoulder, with an inscription underneath it ''Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through Him who gives me strength''
