How to get attachments 101

Post by ColonelPatterson » 16 Jun 2017, 06:18

-Have what attachments you want typed out before you get to the front of the line
-Don't say you want "a stock" because there's three different kinds of stocks.
-Don't say you want "a scope" because some autistic fucks refer to a RDS as a "scope". Specify if its a red dot or a rail scope.
-Don't say you want grenade launchers. They spawn on M41A's, take one off of the 40 you have in your prep room you lazy fuck.
-Don't ask for a barrel charger if you aren't the squad leader or a smart gunner, the answer will always be no (also git gud)
-Generally a good requisition officers will say over the radio what they don't have and tell you not to ask for them. Don't ask for them.
-Don't put on your attachments in the line
-Don't leave empty machete scabbards in the line
-Standard Marines -generally- get two attachments
-Medics, Engineers, Smart Gunners, Specialists, and Squad Leaders receive three attachments.
-If you are going to ask for a holster or webbing, ask for it when you ask for your attachments, not after you put them on your gun.
-Don't ask for rockets in line as a specialist, requesting a crate to be sent down over the radio is how you do it.
-Don't ask for metal in line as a engineer, no i'm not giving you the metal i have, i will order you a crate you greedy bastard
-Don't ask for frag grenades
-Don't ask for fire grenades
-Don't ask for a heavy pulse rifle
-Don't ask for specialist weapons
-Don't ask for leader armor
-Don't ask for black market weapons, not only am i not obligated to have them RP wise, i'm also not obligated to distribute them as if it's okay under marine law. You -might- get lucky if it's sent down in a supply crate but don't beg for them in line.
-Don't ask for extended magazines
-Don't ask for magazines in general if you aren't a pilot
-Don't ask for armor piercing magazines (scumbag)
-Don't say "Hello how was your afternoon my good fine sir" and then ask for your attachments, you aren't being nice your annoying the cargo tech/requisition officers and holding up the line. If you -MUST- give some customary communication bind *salute to ` and salute them when you get to the front of the line, then salute after you have your attachments.
-Don't have a conversation or attempt to have a conversation at the front of the line
-Don't bitch when you get pushed out of the line for being AFK
-Don't try to fight your way back into your spot after being pushed out for being AFK
-Don't try to shoot the MP who arrests you for trying to fight your way back into your spot after being pushed out for being AFK.
-Don't push people (constantly walking in the direction of the line), it does nothing but speak leagues about how much of a attention whore you are.
-Don't drop MRE wrappers on the ground you dirty fucker
-If you have a under barrel attachment, do the right thing and give the requisition officers/cargo techs your grenade launcher.
-When you get in the line, set your intent to disarm so there is no possible chance for someone to swap spots with you, don't be autistic and click the person in front of you to steal their spot either.

Follow these simple steps and you'll become a much better human being

I have few notes.

-Don't say you want "a stock" because there's two different kinds of stocks.
Three. M41A Skeleton Stock, Marksman M44 Stock, M37 Shotgun Stock.
-Don't say you want "a scope" because some autistic fucks refer to a RDS as a "scope". Specify if its a red dot or a rail scope.
Very rare/almost never occurs from my experience, all Requisition staff understand "scope" as rail scope.
-Standard Marines -generally- get two attachments
-Medics, Engineers, Smart Gunners, Specialists, and Squad Leaders receive three attachments.
Engineers and medics get 2. Usually.
-When you get in the line, set your intent to disarm so there is no possible chance for someone to swap spots with you.
Wrong. Grab intent. You can always missclick in queue. If you will have disarm intent, this can cause a fight in line. Only grab. It's harmless.

Everything else is good.

I think better control distribution of things in vendors. I hate when people, like, cpmmand staff comes to Req and takes something without asking.

Good list of what do's.
Didnt know i could get 3 attachments as a medic. Good to know, tho most of the time i skip attachements as medic, since getting meds from medbay is priority.

This is why TS should take into consideration my notes and better edit his post. No, medics don't get 3 attachments.

As someone who played/plays RO, I fucking hate this.

By the way, don't waste time getting attachments at all if you're Command. You are not rambo. You are strategic. Your time at the beginning of a round is way more important than your gun.

Be nice to Requisitions and help them out as much as you can. They'll return the favor when you need supplies dropped fast to your squad.

It's subjective to who is playing RO, just like everything else i listed.

Generally speaking, standard marines get two attachments and everyone else has a choice of getting three.

Ofc, it's RO choice, but I wrote formal rules which are stated here:

And everything else is not subjective, it's quite objective and 90% of ROs most likely will agree with it.

-Don't fucking riot if I don't give you what you want you autistic cavemen and women.

-Don't shock my doors to get back at me for the previous step either. Remember, I'm the guy that loads the crates full of supplies. I'll only laugh over the radio when you scream that you're being over run and need more ammo and usually, I still get to go to the pods after being boarded by the aliens.

As an occassional MP I can't stand when people push when the line wraps around the corner. I can never tell who is causing shit to happen so I just have to stand there until someone escalates it.
