Rhi's Guide to Experimental Drugs

Post by Rhicora » 17 Jun 2017, 19:59

Here are some recipes for preventative medicine and combination treatments. You'll need the Bluespace Beaker to manufacture them in bulk. The spoiler tags below contain instructions for a manufacturing run, yielding the number of pills specified at the top.

No warranty, no promises. Each pill contains the single-dose maximum of its active ingredients (or close), which may result in mild toxin damage for a short period after ingestion, and means you shouldn't ever take more than one dose of a given medication until the first dose wears off. If some medic jabs you with tramadol and you start having amazing hallucinations because you're already on paracetemol, blame them for not looking at what was in your bloodstream.

Preventative Medicine
Remember, prevention is the best cure! Any marine can take one of each of the following safely, though their body may sting a bit as they take a couple points of toxin damage.

Long-Term Supplement (24 pills)
Iron/Sugar 5u/5u. Long-term nourishment and bloodstream health.

Long-Term Antibiotic (10 pills)

Quite interesting to mass produce medicine. Thanks. :)

I didn't know you couldn't combine Peridaxon and Hyperzine.

You can, but I don't think it will be pleasant. Try it on a random marine consenting medical research participant sometime and see what happens, for science.

This is a good guide, now I do have to say if you're making these, seriously label your pill bottles to "ONLY TAKE ONE" or "DONT GIVE TRAMA" because otherwise medics will fuck it up somehow.

More info on Peri/Hyperzine and Trama/Paracetamol: through rigorous lab testing, we've discovered that each of these pairs converts directly (in equal volume) to Toxin when mixed, eliminating the precursors entirely. Bad stuff.
