Chemical Kingdom - List of Recipes - How to please Corporal Medics

Post by Kesserline » 14 Nov 2017, 05:47

You are either a researcher or doctor and said : DIBS, for having the chem room ?

Then, you came to the right door.

This is a humble list of useful recipes for chems apprentices. Nothing really too fancy, I just need it to be more visible so as to increase the number of dedicated chemists to help our fellow corporal medics on the ground !

First, I would like to thank this guide (and the wiki updates ) : viewtopic.php?f=94&t=5689

Optimal loadout : chemical triage (groundside) (Thanks Gnorse for the idea)

Enjoy being a genius chemist and being loved by marines because you are handsome, great, medicool, really kind, humble...

PS : if you find really complicated chems to make, make the name of the recipe likes your name+zine. Just for the sake of looking cool !

I wish this guide will be useful for some of you ! Give me hugs if it is. Give me hugs if it isn't.

Hey, It's a pretty good guide.
Half the trouble in chemistry is finding out can be mixed and what can't.
Might want to include an 'Optimal loadout' for the aspiring field doctor.

Just a heads up, giving medical supplies out to standard marines is considered powergaming, at least that's what I was told.

Standard marines can't read label on Pills TO AVOID powergaming. They rely on a doctor for telling them what to take what they can't take on their own.
► Show Spoiler
For me, this is not powergaming, this is a medical prescription. Just for reminder, many researchers just hand out combat stims when they produce them. Here, you can really give only 1 pill (for Kesserzine) to a standard. Why ? Because of Peridaxon OD in first place, second, because it's hard to produce and you want to spread the resources and not waste it on a single person, if that person dies prematurely.

For the rest of the pills made in bulk, they are meant to be given to Corporal Medics for a more efficient triage and treating capacity. Not meant to be given to standards.

If I'm wrong about the reading of the Powergaming rule, then mea culpa. But I don't think I am wrong when I can make a medical prescription to a standard by handing him situational pills in really restricted quantities.

And a marine law issue
Non medics cant have chems, might include advanced medical supplies, need to recheck the thread, and are to be charged, sentence wise, per item.

Drug Distribution (marine-law) wiki :
► Show Spoiler
Of course you ask about it's authorization, especially because of the Peridaxon in it. The rest of the compound can be explained, but usually Acting Commander just wants the "healing compounds to not cause harm nor addictive process due to use it".

I see : no powergaming, nor marine law issue (as long as you have at least peridaxon authorization, and explains to the AC the purpose of the shit you are cooking). Welp, hope that a mentor/mod/admin could clarify this point. I'll have to adjust if I'm proven wrong of course.

Sugar is a waste of chem charge; there is only Iron; way more efficient for the cost.

I asked Freemysoul like a couple of weeks ago and he did indeed say that it was powergaming if it was to regular standard marines, medics getting chems were perfectly fine.
