A quick guide to what attachments to use

Post by phil235 » 23 Jun 2018, 06:53

This is a quickguide not to explain each and every attachment's effects but what attachments to get if you want to have a certain playstyle. The attachments are listed in descending order of importance for the build.

I want to run & gun, firing one handed and on burst:
  • M41A, M39 : gyro , stock , compensator
  • M37A2: gyro, stock, compensator

I want to fire one handed on single fire while standing still:
  • M41A, M39 : laser sight , stock , compensator
  • M37A2: gyro, stock, compensator
I want to always be wielding my gun and fire on single or burst fire:
  • M41A, M39: vertical grip , red dot, extended barrel, stock
  • M37A2: vertical grip , red dot, extended barrel, stock
I want to unwield to move fast then quickly wield my gun and fire on single or burst fire:
  • M41A, M39: angled grip , red dot, extended barrel, stock
  • M37A2: angled grip , red dot, extended barrel, stock
I want to shoot both onehanded and twohanded, on single or burst fire:
  • M41A, M39: laser sight , suppressor, stock, red dot
  • M37A2: gyro , compensator, stock
I want to snipe twohanded on single fire:
  • M41A: scope/miniscope , stock, vertical grip, extended barrel
I want to stay behind a barricade and lay down accurate fire on single or burst fire:
  • M41A: bipod , red dot/scope, stock, extended barrel

stock, gyro, bipod, recoil comp yet no mag harness or Supressor (barely) mentioned at all ?

Gimping your fire rate and damage with Stock and Recoil Comp just to try and have this one handed convenience work, is not worth it imo, when you can just wield and unwield at ease with hotkey mode and your guns won't actually fail on you.

I didn't mention attachments that don't affect the firing behavior of the gun since their use is pretty self-explanatory.
The suppressor is a bit of a jack of all trades and also has benefits not related to gun behavior so that's why it's seldom mentioned.

This guide isn't the end-all be-all for attachment choice by the way. Feel free to disagree with me. It's just a simple guide for people completely new to attachments.

The m39 is the smg and listed as the same as the normal rifle. Although it has other uses.
