Varl-Ramu grunts and begins his practice again. Jah’lu quietly backs out of the room. Varl-Ramu lets out a loud roar as he whips the training dummy’s limbs off one by one until only a torso and head is left. In a single punch the dummy's head flies off and hits the back wall.

Varl-Ramu walks out of the room. Before he exits, he throws his whip as far as he can and it also hits the back of the training room with a smack. Varl-Ramu stomps his way up to his sleeping chamber and sleeps until the next day. By that time he had cooled off.

He walked into the briefing room. The floor was lined with strips of blood red tiles and each one had black writing on it that said “Trial Room”. Varl-Ramu was thirty minutes early because he was nervous about the Blooding. He hoped that he would calm down, however He was unsuccessful. Once everyone was there, they began to announce what was happening.

“You are to begin your first trial. It is a trial of minimal footprints, and absolutely no detection. You will use it when recovering equipment and hunting prey. It is… The Umbra trial. You first need to step on mud without leaving a trace of yourself. Let us begin the trials.” Triu-tai announces.
