I’ve stopped behind the Pilots remote control console building away from the MPs line of sight. You saw me throw away the flash east and I stopped north of the hangar consoles just south of PO shutters. I stood still, without hesitation you pulled the mateba after looking at me for 2 seconds and shot me right when I was starting to say something. Me spinning on a chair did not distrupt you from speaking, nor from others listening. The one who sparked all of this was the newbie MP. Which was trying to do his job and arrest me. You stopped him from doing it just to throw me out the round.

Allow me to explain what happened, the situation, and how it spiraled into what it did. I awoke and arrived at briefing as the sole MP. I found marines not lined up, 15 chairs being stacked, and the CO telling everyone to stop or he'd have to get more forceful. I positioned myself in front of the CO and told marines to fall in line as their superior was speaking. I had binoculars thrown at me, which I took and held onto. I also noticed a specialist spinning rapidly in a chair in front of the CO among many other misbehaviors. I unbuckled him multiple times, at one point trying to drag the chair away from him. He simply jumped back on and kept spinning and told me to fuck off.

I don't know if I did punch you, I keep harm intent on near briefing as shuffling can be annoying if it's left off. I very likely tried to click your chair which was spinning rapidly and accidentally punched you, I do not know if I did but if I did in fact do this, that is the reason. Regardless after that you grabbed me, aggressively upped your grab then choke slammed me into a crane in front of a CO. Therefore I deployed lethals and attempted to give chase which you disarmed me multiple times (my character does know several styles of martial arts due to being a veteran but he holds back as it could be considered lethal after he accidentally snapped a marine's arm like a toothpick trying to subdue them, therefore you did have the upper hand). After this the CO ordered me to stop, which I did. He then rendered a BE.

Regardless if we are the same rank, the CO ordered everyone stop fooling around. It is my duty to ensure that is done. Us being the same rank doesn't mean I can't tell you what the CO wants you to do.

You punching me made me think that you’re a new guy, considering that MPs spawn as sergeants you spawned as lance corporal. Therefore I told you to fuck off knowing you can not command. Therefore I dealt with it with self defence being. ‘Throwing you at the crane’. Then continuing to spin, you doing your duty trying to arrest I have nothing against. What I am mad is that instead of the CO letting you chase me. He decided to rely on BE, wasting a valuable asset to the operation.

The Council has reviewed this report, this is what we have to say.

There's an argument to be made about the execution being not completely necessary in this case -- things didn't really seem to escalate past the reporter and the MPs and given enough time, the MPs probably would've been able to diffuse the situation on their own.

That being said, the CO did explicitly order you to stop, and you didn't comply. In addition, it has to be mentioned here that from the CO's perspective, you started beating an MP over a single thwack (which doesn't even penetrate armor, mind you) and continued to dance around briefing inciting a scuffle with the MPs while the rest of everyone else just went through their day. Disrupting briefing and assaulting an MP are both legal reasons for a Battlefield Execution to occur, and the CO was within their right to stop you in your tracks.

Resolved, this report is denied. No official action will be taken against the CO in this instance.
