Background
Macarthur came to USCM employ under fairly "Unique" circumstances compared to his fellow marines. There are no records of his existence prior to 2168, the start of his Criminal Record. It is known that for a period of ten years he was engaged in a series of felonies ranging from speeding and moving violations to Grand Theft, Robbery, Racketeering and other major crimes such as the heist of the Citadel Bank Corps 1st national branch in Leo Colony Mars in 2175 as well as the hijacking of Chigusa Corporations Payroll shipment later that same year.
He was arrested in 2178 during an attempted heist of classified materials under development within a Weyland-Yutani Mobile Research Station, it is known that the attempted robbery "went bad" and after his arrest he was surprisingly cooperative with Law Enforcement and Weyland-Yutani officials, turning states evidence against nearly all his former compatriots seemingly in exchange for very little. Despite strong evidence against him, this was a period in which the USCM was in need of additional personnel. As such, his unique talents and experience, combined with his surprising degree of cooperation with Weyland-Yutani forced them to consider that his talents would be better put to use in their own service. His sentence was suspended conditional upon his serving a period of no less than 30 years on behalf of either the USCM or Weyland-Yutani. This was considered to be unprecedented as while criminal sentences HAVE been suspended in exchange for military service, this has always been done on behalf of "Troubled Youth" who committed relatively minor crimes and has never before been done on behalf of a repeat offender or "Professional Criminal" with a violent criminal history. In practice they had to pay off a number of debts related to his Criminal Service and legally despite him being a member of the USCM in good standing, he is technically their legal property.
His case has been considered to be something of a testbed case on behalf of those USCM officials who have considered conscripting from prisons or forming Penal Battalions. Currently he is eight years into his Sentence or Enlistment with two of those having been on Mars, given his disparate fields of expertise he is generally transferred around from department to department based upon need, being present in the medbay during one mission and on the ground hacking doors in the next.
Personality
Macarthur is somewhat unusual, while he seems to be loyal to the Marines and Personnel aboard the almayer, his loyalties seem to end with THEM and even then only exist to a certain extent. He is less concerned with WHAT people do and more that they do it RIGHT with seemingly horrific acts and terrible tragedies barely registering to him at all as if he treats everything with the same indifference as a normal person would their own breakfast. He tends to focus on his task with a passion that could be considered obsessive and it is not unheard of for him to react violently if some outside force renders him incapable of performing said function whatever it may be, before he simply moves on to the next task as if he had never worked on the prior one at all.

Relations
Most of the data regarding his former relations seems to have decayed at some point with all information concerning his posting on Mars corrupted and irretrievable, much is the same concerning his earlier Criminal Record with the files sealed by the acting judge and further restrictions to the file placed by Weyland-Yutani who state any requests for that information need to go through THEM, past attempts at doing so have been stonewalled by their legal representatives with most commanders insisting as long as Macarthur does his job, its not worth the hassle to dig in to long buried events.
There are several mentions of a "Banter Squad" throughout his earlier records since transferring here but likewise, any records of such a unit are either sealed, corrupted or destroyed outright.
Special Note
Despite an otherwise exemplary service record (those elements which could be accessed at least), Intelligence, along with the MP's have long suspected that Macarthur's loyalties align anywhere BUT the United Americas and subsequently the USCM. While no hard evidence exists to suggest he is disloyal, it has long been suspected he is here only to serve as Weyland-Yutani's personal, clandestine agent aboard the Almayer or that he would betray the USCM to rival factions such as the UPP, CLF or even these "Yautja" at the first opportunity. He is far too useful to simply remove and seems to get along well with those members of the crew who don't have obvious ties to law enforcement (such as the MP's) but it is recommended an eye be kept on him, we have to remember first and foremost that before he came into our employ he was a CRIMINAL, Second that he was not initially hired by the USCM but that he was hired by Weyland-Yutani who more or less "Own" him and then stuck us with him. While technically he SHOULD rank as a Staff Sergeant given his years of service, under no circumstances is he to be given extensive control or command over his fellow marines. He is to be denied leave unless accompanied by either one (1) MP, Superior Officer or a full squad of marines. Technically he should legally count as and on some level be treated as a prisoner despite being a full member in "Good" standing. As he MUST exist somewhere within the rank structure, it is recommended his rank be applied and rescinded based upon the specific role the USCM needs him to fulfill on any given day and that his authority at any given time extend only to that given field or role in which he is operating.
On a minor note, we also do not know where that weird green armor of his came from. He claims to have received it during his time on mars and that "They made Way too many so everyone who rotated out got to keep theirs" but there is no precedent for any modern armed forces to just "give" equipment to its members as their own legal property, records from mars are spotty at best however with no evidence to the contrary.
Not going to bullshit you guys, i mostly wrote this for fun, i've played CM on and off for some time and i always meant to write a Character Dossier but never got around to it before i left last time, i never actually use them for anything or bother checking them while ingame but it was fun just to write it up, that picture was actually supposed to be my character for a tabletop campaign i never got to play, realised it would actually be a pretty good fit for my CM character, minus it not being the typical green doomguy outfit i wear in the medbay.
