Why does six units of hyperzine only last 30 seconds? Before you jump on my dicks admins, it's literally in the 2016 changelog.
Back in 2016, Hyperzine was actually pretty friggin good because of the HUGE speed boost and the heart damage that could be simply fixed with peri..
But now? It seems kinda pointless. The Hyperzine speed was nerfed to the ground really, it's barely a decent speed boost anymore. Plus, you need to get surgery to fix it.
If you're going to make it bad, don't make it useless.. Might as well extend those 30 seconds to a minute or something.
tbh, 1 minute is basically nothing in this game.
3-5 minutes is an actual relevant length of time for some kind of temporary buff. That's long enough to support an assault or push at a critical moment.
Officer order buffs also suffer from this same issue. I think they last somewhere around 8 seconds. That's so little time it's almost pointless.
Hyperzine is only useful for helping you steal the last spot on an escape pod.
SpookyDonut completely ruined medbay and nobody has bothered to fix it.
The real tragedy is Issue Orders being only useful if a CPT uses it; and the CPT isn't supposed to be on the ground, so his superior ability is wasted.
SL really needs the Issue Orders to last 30 seconds.
Hyperzine was nerfed into the ground because people abused the shit out of it, to the point that you could even say marines were starting to grow too reliant on it.
So, they nerfed it to the point that people only use it as a last resort rather than as their primary form of fighting. But because people don't like taking risks, well... Now you rarely see it used at all.
It never got abused though lol, they've changed how it works several times and the penalties for it. It's absolutely useless.
Alls I know is someone came through and destroyed any ounce of fun we could have as a doctor.
