Your opinion on character descriptions

As Christine once said, �I can already tell what people�s character descriptions are gonna be from looking at what is on their head, what hair color they are, and what hair they have. And if they match the physical description in their character description their probably gonna have something about the size of their tits or how thicc their ass is.�

I have been messing around with idea of adding a description to my character for a while. My issue is just that I wan't it to be short enough for somebody to read without being pointless. Ultimately however I think that, while they can be interesting they are not necessary.
