Saying the Holocaust was justified in the moment is some braindead shit. You saw I'd just banned someone for literally supporting right wing fascism and the Nazis a moment ago then you butt in to say something positive about the Holocaust, idk what you expected.
Comparing the Holocaust to anything the Western Allies did is like comparing getting punched in the face to having your whole race genocided. The German crimes we're literally genocide and other things of nightmares. You can't equate that to anything the British or Americans did. Hopping back to the point before the political discussion starts for good - I do believe that both Huebone and Cipher were just shitposting. Nobody was denying anything and literally noone even suggested that "hitler did nothing wrong", the topic was started and fueled by Winterclould himself and as soon as someone showed a different opinion, they were instantly banned with no warnings or questioning whatsoever.
Shitposting is, after all, shitposting. We as discord mods are not the thought police, I see no rules broken here (unless we want to use rule 1 here, the one with bigotry etc. Although I doubt "Dresden was justified" doesn't fall into that category too). They could've been told to stop. Winterclould could've stopped himself, or at least not start the topic.
Just so there's some clarity here, I admit I offered a somewhat opinionated answer in my above post. I have altered it from what it was to give a better answer that is more on point.
The ban for both you and Cipher will be lifted since Winter was invested in the discussion you both were banned from, which Discord staff should refrain from doing so. That said, it's often hard to see whether a message like that is real or just a joke. Stay out of trouble in the future. Resolved.
