ONE patient, 4 doctors standing around. He has a broken chest... CMO autodocs him.

    Blah.
I feel the pain of this situation. Granted in a different way but still the pain is felt.

Last night while a delta medic, watched the SL and specialist run across the river in dam and die from burns. The 4 tile crossing killed them almost instantly

Then two other marines tried to get to them.. Also died.

Then the other medic and another marine tried.. All died.

This was late a night so I think there were only like 90 players.

That was MOST of delta squad dead.. without the aliens even knowing what happened.

Art Vargas technically. I was that Marine, I was a cryo marine hence the odd name.

Highlight was the very last M41A bullet I had put the Queen into crit, at that point, I knew I needed to buckshot that Queen. This is why I love playing a Combat Medic and focusing more on offensive gear.

You can see in the video the Queen is down to around 1/3rd HP after the two people shooting her go down, at which point you can see me bring her the rest of the way into crit.

I only arrived at that fight from the North very late, that video shows me just as I arrived to the fight and started firing at the Queen.

In this pic capture, we can see the result of how Ka-Torag-na Halkrath was challenged to a honor duel by Pau'Tar. This was due to his insulting Pau'Tar, his honor, and his clan's honor as well as subsequently refusing to cease and take back these insults and slights given. Such a situation resulted from a variety of conflict over issues, but most notably over a divergent belief between the clans and the two individuals over the specifics of the procedure on the breeding of oomans to develop a controlled r'ka duel within the fighting pits. Additionally, further insult was found by multiple slights against Tar honor such as questions of cowardice, honor, and martial capability.
Whatever the reality was, the reality is that the Tar Clan has proven by an Honor Duel to Death that they were and remain honorable and right despite the heinous accusations.

Such a interaction involving so many, and so serious, slights agains the Tar clan could only result in one resolution. Death. With the perpetrator's death, the Tar Clan honor and that of Pau'Tar's could be restored.

After agreeing to the terms of the fight the duel was begun on the planet. However, due to severe hunger in the lack of a successful hunt thus far, the Tar needed additional food. And so, after only one stab to each other by both minor clan members in this honor duel, they agreed to cease until the fight was made fair by the alleviation of hunger. They subsequently resumed in the Fighting pit aboard their ship, fully unarmored with only their Clan ceremonial daggers.

After a brief fight, the Tar gained a small advantage over the smaller Halkrath before finally, with a blow the strength of two Yautja, decapitating Ka-Torag-na Halkrath. Immediately after, Pau'Tar roared his victory to the heavens and raised up the head of the fallen foe declaring his clan's mighty strength.

Ka-Torag-na of Clan Halkrath spoke loudly, but foolishly of honor and strength of Pau'Tar clan and his clan. Pau'Tar corrected this error of belief with the removal of the lie-spitting head.

In a further move after consulting a similar minded Councilor of a much more powerful clan, the young Pau'Tar shamed his fallen foe by refusing to take a trophy and leaving the body then be self destructed upon the planet. Due to the nature of the duel, it is likely this will only worsen relations between these two minor clans. A grim future in a galaxy run by those that normally hunt other species.

For ease of identification, posting this as a second post:

End of the 4 1/2 Hour Round on Prison

Not much I can say here except my own position.
I was an engineer. Dutied to mainly the West and Northwest of center LZ1.
By mid round I was one of the only engineers left. By 3/4 of the round, I was one of the only engineers left who had been on site longer than around 1 hour to 1/2 hour. Most certainly the only round-start engineer.
By the end of the round, I believe I was only 1 of maybe 2/max 3 engineers who had come from cryo.

As for the round, as the main engineer left, I felt fairly confident MOST of the round about our defenses. There were two major moments though I failed to get cades up in time (that said, I made the deadline many a other time). The first major lost us warehouse area northwest of LZ1 and North of the kitchen by the canteen. The second nearly lost us the LZ after the cades I HAD put up were melted and I failed to catch that THREE layers of cades were well... melting.

From there, we arrive at this picture.
It felt kind of strange, like the marine force was pivoting constantly to respond to the xenos attacking the LZ pad west of the Alamo.
On my level, I did all I could by turning around the sentries as you can see in this picture. But that only helped... it really came down to a handful, around maybe 15 - 20 marines who gave everything despite lack of cades and ammo to push back and kill not only the queen but a grand total of 14 xenos. Not too shabby considering half the marines were walking wounded and the other half typically inside the DS barely able to walk.

This round was so intense and long... even to the very end, our gameplan had been to get the nuke... even at less than 14 xenos.

Not too shabby we won...considering how many hostiles there had been throughout this battle. Even at the four hour mark the numbers were crazy... like still 20+ xenos left...

I think my loadout shows how desperate and weird the situation had become for me personally...

    Shoutout:
Requisitions: I don't know or remember who it was, but the RO was amazing!

Medical: By NAME: CLIFF RASER and a synth (sadly forget the name; I think Lily(?) or started with a L)
Medical it should be noted was KEY. All other doctors SSD'd. Raser and the synth singlehandedly kept the operation going. Without them, we would have lost the round. 100%. Thank you Cliff.

Charlie SL: I forget their name, but I remember they were new and unconfident they had done good at the end the of the round. The fact is, they were GREAT. They applied CAS and OBs and SBs so many times... led pushes and counterpushes and secured areas when needed. Fantastic. Moreso, at the end of the round they learned Issued Orders and began the critical process of using Hold Orders to keep the marines in the fight. Fantastic, prospective SL.

All the marines who didn't charge needlessly
All the people who gathered bodies for Defcon

The CE of the round who took over command after the XO died(?)/Cryo'd(?) and the CO died.
The CO who didn't do have bad - Juro I think.

All the Medics: These guys were fantastic. For example, I had IB and fractures all over for most the round. These guys managed to keep me in the fight despite that with only one return to the ship necessary in the entire 4 1/2 hour round. Amazing stuff.

    Anyone I missed....

Don't forget Canton, the PO who was the one specifically doing CAS and communicating effectively on my lases. As for Charlie SL, I just never had the opportunity to call in CAS or use Issue Order before that round bc I main Squad Engineer. I joined mid round thinking round would end in 30 minutes or so, just to be taken on a 3-4 hour ride. I ended up losing my arm and had to beg multiple medics not to evac me so I could keep calling CAS. I also lost so many binoculars to Warrior knockouts and friendly bald HE grenades. At one point I had to run back into no man's land just to grab my binoculars. Overall very nice round. Charlie engineers, including another one named Ewing, were the only reason comms never fell again after i specifically ordered some Chalies to hold it to the death for 2 hours. Overall very exhausting round for everyone involved. I thought I did terrible bc all of Charlie was mostly dead at the end & I never figured out what Klaus meant by Orders until literally the last possible moment. All I focused on was CAs. I think I was the last person alive with the JTAC key and binos even...
