First post and as my name suggest I might be wrong. Been playing for some weeks now and I'm getting the hang of things. Previously I payed on other servers also.
My question is to the veterans of this server. It seems to me that either I role-play and have fun, really taking it in like an action RPG and I quite enjoy this part. But it always seems like when I stand anywhere near the front, a robust Lurker just shreds me in seconds or of I'm playing Xenomorph, a marine with multiple shotguns on the floor somehow shoots 10 rounds in seconds with their MOU and pretty much kills me so badly that I do not even go to crit, but literally explode. So my question is, can you enjoy this game near the front line without absolutely knowing all the in-game mechanics? I seem to really struggle with this instant-death mechanic. As a note, this happens rarely, about once every 5 rounds. But when it happens, it is really annoying. After death, I keep observing the culprit and it seems they are just abusing some weird mechanic where they manage to shoot way faster than other marines and get more kills than anybody else.
I read some other posts here, like the one about this git-good, which I got a couple of times in dead-chat. But it's one thing to skirmish back and forward with the enemy. It is an other to simply instantly die to normal weapons (not specialist weapons).
Am I wrong here?
Edit: sorry for the typos, writing from phone.
