As a medic, slug shotgun.
It's top quality at getting harassers to fuck off, and you're usually with a group of marines who can harass.
As an engi, MK2 with an underbarrel flamer if I'm going to be FOBing. Good for weed clearing from the saftey of the cadeline.
L42A Battle Rifle all the way, precise, has a fire rate that can compete with the M41A Mk.2 and can deal a respectable amount of damage per shot, only downsides are mags are uncommon and the attachment options are limited.
You can also put a B8 on it if you want to stay on the backlines for a hefty fire rate and damage reduction.
