No door opening skills.
20 metal, a useless pouch (building material pouch for only 1 material?), and a bunch of things you can get for free from engineering or the vendors right by the dropship.
Replace the Bmat pouch with an electronics pouch with APC electronics, add a light replacer, and give door repair and APC repair skills and it might be worth taking.
tl;dr what i'm suggesting is:
Engineers:
FOB building duty.
Supply duty.
Telecoms/generator duty.
Turrets/M56D/Mortar duty.
Claymore/C4 duty.
Quick hacking/deconstruction duty.
Marine Engineer kit:
Simple construction duty.
APC repair duty.
Light replacement duty.
Damaged wire replacement duty.
Slow airlock opening duty. (add a delay and chance of failure like marines trying to use advanced medical stuff to door hacking)
Basically let marine engineers do all the grunt work for the real engineers.
