Bob Shoe Commander Application Version 2.0

Post by Lumdor » 19 Oct 2017, 16:48

Byond ID: Lumdor

Player name you use the most: Bob Shoe

Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link:
http://cm-ss13.com/viewtop ... 43&t=14691 DENIED

Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?
I understand.

Why should you be whitelisted?
Since my last application I've gotten a lot more experience under my belt. Played my fair share of rounds as XO and SO; some better than others. Not sure from the last time, but I've built up more notoriety since my last application. Most people should know my play style and how I lead the marines.

Most of my time as an officer in charge I try to be more blunt and forceful. In my opinion a leader should not just sit back and let chaos run over the marines, but instead should do something about it. Every time I play XO or SO my primary mission is to make sure my squad is taken care of. Every time making sure that the SL is competent, is putting down his SB's, using his CAS, and making sure that they have control of the squad. Whenever there is a commander I always make sure I'm able to go down to the surface; as an officer on the ground gives the marines hope, and especially when you're leading the charge.

Most commanders that play have had some sort of experience with me; either it as XO or SO. Always I'm updating the acting commander, and making sure they know what we should and shouldn't do. Hell most of the time when I play SO or XO I'm juggling one-three squads. My ability too lead the marines is there, and I've shown this ability on multiple occasions.

I try to make my character "Bob Shoe" the same every round. A man who's heart belongs to the USCM, and shows it by constantly being motivated to do his job. At moments when death comes close to my character is attitude changes; instead of being "OORAH" he becomes the essence of a marine; with a little insanity on the side.

I'm not here to be the same old shitty commanders; I intend on bringing flavor to each round "Bob Shoe" commands.

Will I battlefield execute people? Most likely.

Will I make sure every marine gets a side of "OORAH" with their MRE? You're goddamn right.

Am I intending on calling the SD, and running to the escape pods? Hell fucking no!

Now, I'm not telling you to vote for me, but if you want a commander who truly cares about the USCM then I'm the man for you.

Currently my playtime's are sporadic, so you may see me on at 4PM CST or 4AM CST.

I won't let you down.

In which case would you consider it acceptable to battlefield execute a marine ?

If he/she kills another marine on purpose. He/she is trying to incite a mutiny. He/she is threatening my life; now not by saying they're going to kill me, but if they have a weapon pointed at me and intend on ending my life. This would also apply to them doing the same thing, but to any personnel on board.

These are about the only reasons I would battlefield execute a marine.

Apart from threatening your life, these could be handled by the MPs. Although it's good to see they're all serious matters.

If we consider the MPs are unavailable, dead or whatever. It's about 1h30 into the round, the DS have not been hijacked and there's no hostile on board. In briefing you come across a marine refusing to deploy, sincerely claiming he fears for his life, how do you deal with it, considering you'd rather have him fighting than anywhere else ?

Asking him why he fears for his life would be the first thing. From an rp standpoint we would have to see what he say's. I'd most likely ask him why he fears for his life, and what I can do to make sure he does not have these fears any longer.

I'm the commander so nothing is not within my grasps.

This is all circumstantial though, so we would need the full story and the other person talking to me.

This is fine, I have no doubt about your ability to command as I've seen you play XO, and I believe you can understand the troops.

I've seen this man before, and I watched as his hand was torn off right in front of me. Pretty good XO/SO, would respek.
Phillip Driver, jack of all trades, reliable in some. Your typical jumpy flamer PFC or ammo fumbling CPL, always has a pair of ballistic goggles on him for unknown reasons. Will probably die mid sentence, because he talks (and gets bullied) too much for his own good. He has his moments though.

Jim, a Gen 2 Synthetic. Has a tendency to get melted to bits when planet side, and that's when he's behind barricades. Despite that, he's vigilant and always ready to drag you out of danger, even if it damages him in the process.

On an LV 624 round, I believe you got dragged away by an ayy as I ran away.

Marines very rarely run around the ship like chickens with their heads cut off. I would always make an announcement and tell the marines where to fortify and defend. Usually either CIC or SD; sometimes I like having some fun and tell them to defend random areas.

Like the one round I told them all to defend briefing, and the whole DS crashed into briefing killing all of the marines. It was quite hilarious in an OOC standpoint, but in IC it pretty much left me as the last man alive.

The only time marine's don't listen to orders is when they're mutinying against the commander, or there are very little marines left. In my experience I've never had this happen to me and don't plan on it happening.

Some rounds when the xeno's crash into the ship we win; a lot of them we lose. Now this is not because of incompetence, but is usually because they outnumber us by quite a lot. Hope you found my response satisfactory.
