Thread: Can we please remove the absolute cancer that is the Anti Body Block feature?

    It was meant to prevent t3's being able to be bodyblocked, but now they all just abuse it to kill easier. Removing it would be a godsend, gitlab this.

    T3 walks into marine, marine pushed away one tile, marine walks back into the tile they were pushed out of. T3 immobilized.

    The thing is, like people said, Anti-Body block doesn't even do what it's supposed to. When a Crusher pushes someone, the Crusher's still slowed down if it tries to push its way through a Marine. It doesn't prevent bodyblocking because the Marine's still in the Crusher's way and still slowing it down, while every other Xeno that has access to this feature uses it as a kind of stun to pin Marines down. The fact is, it's something that doesn't do what it's supposed to very well, but it gives T3s, Carriers, and Hivelords a free stun that takes zero skill and zero plasma.

    It does help you push marines out of the way. It doesnt do a great job but it does help. Like Nimiety said back in the day you would shove a marine but he is faster than you so he would just walk right back into the same tile so you couldnt move at all. Atleast now you can slowly push them back.

    It does make a difference, but cmon, it's "ALMOST" unnoticeable. The crusher should push marines out of the way like it pushes xenos out of the way during a charge. And literally every other xeno shouldn't have this to begin with.

    A crusher being able to shove while walking would be even worse than this.

    I'm all for a T3 anti bodyblock removal on all xenos however.

    every T3 with the exception of crusher and maybe boiler will move faster than a marine due to speed mutators/old age

    Other t3 dont really need it but yall are badly underestimating what will happen to crushers without anti body block. When they put in anti body block crushers could CQC fight like crazy. They had awesome tackle and they had insane armor compared to what they have now (from the front atleast). Crushers now are completely useless in CQC they have 0 CQC capability. Wtihout anti body block all you would have to do to slaughter an ancient crusher is run 1 tile towards it and get behind it when it rams the first guy in its way. The crusher would be automatically dead.

    As a more frequent Crusher player, anti-bodyblock is only used to abuse the living shit out of it.

    If you get bodyblocked as a Crusher, 90% it's the fault of the user and not the caste. It's not hard to just pull back after ramming 1-2 guys and go for a stomp. And IF you do get bodyblocked in this process it's because the Marines are competent and able to predict it and that's when anit-bodyblock fucks you over because you won't be able to escape tight enclosures since the system forces marines to stand still "stunned". Crusher should only go for bigger ram lenghts if the map is up for it (such as going east and west through LV barrens). Don't go around ramming more than 2 people on prison, it will usually end badly.

    Crusher is a GREAT caste at taking out HVTs such as specs since a single stomp will cripple the B18 and works great during queen screeches, basically able to force atleast 1 marines to EVAC or suffer extreme slowdowns. The tackle nerf can be worked out decently by (once again) abusing anti-bodyblock and just dnacing around tackling until you're able to stomp them.
