    My first note apparently is from late 2015, but I'm sure it's earlier then that. As I played long before charger was even a thing. That being said, I'm glad, and happy, that the majority of people who cared about their ability to spam the same usual gamer words are gone. Go back to the era of COD MW2 lobbies if you want to be that kind of person.

    I don’t care about the gamer words, but holy shit I wish I could go back to those days. Way more fun to interact with people, you didn’t have a stock deflect like “toxic,” people had to actually talk to each other.     I mean, this is just blatantly not true what-so-ever nor was there ever any vote or data pulled for you to even make a statement that the "community" agreed to fundamentality change the gameplay.

    What I will agree with though, is that the gameplay, standards, rules and core of CM has shifted so drastically in the last few years that the -current- playerbase is in-large happy and enjoying the current iteration of the game. However, this was only achieved due to years of player migration and normal playerbase cycling.

    The day has come that i have to agree with you feweh, as a Support player (as my medals shows), I have zero to no will to return to said support roles. When i play CAS po, it takes 30-40 minutes to setup the dropship the way i want and print the necessary ammo for said setup, 20-30 in marines are already asking for said fire support which i cannot provide, when i finish up setting up with the firemissions, one of those things happen: Marines are in caves; The area they want to CAS is covered and spammed by pylons; Marines are Evaccing.

    CAS has become a shadow of it's former glory. CM is a husk of it's oldself, I keep saying and i will stay by my beliefs, MOBA and Open Source was a HUGE mistake. i remember before MOBA i could get squad specialist and get some kills because the gameplay was simplified, was a game of numbers, I remember once playing LV as SADAR and i one shotted a Crusher charging me with a AP rocket, i remember fun gameplays as crusher/boiler, now i feel like if i don't have a overwhelming setup of macros and stuff, i will get gangbanged with people that can click faster than me, use said macros to boost capabilities, Current CM makes me wanna play bravo every time, at least i won't get ganged and will be able to at LEAST shoot something.
    and i returned, and left. and returned again 19/06/2022, this is my life now.

    The main problem with CM is a process I call "ssethification". It's not a great term, but I couldn't come up with a better one. I think the emphasis on higher RP is actually hurting CM in a rather counter-intuitive way, because everyone wants to be Johnny "Xenoslapper" Rico. Nobody wants to be that one PFC who dies first. As such, there is a sizeable part of the playerbase that keeps trying to reorient CM around their ever diminishing skill level. MOBA was part of that process and techwebs were so ssethified, that just about everyone recognized its problems.

    Due to the lack of strong direction and the open source nature, marines slowly get powercreeped and xenos nerfcreeped, then that part of the playerbase gets even worse and more entitled. Lurker is my favorite example here, but there are others. Before MOBA people were complaining that pro lurkers were killing entire squads. During early MOBA people were complaining that lurkers kill them in 1 pounce. Now people complain that lurkers break their bones every time they get pounced.

    I remember being a robust xeno god with macros back in the day. Now you apparently can't play without them.

    I'd like to take a nostalgia trip this weekend to see how things have changed. Hope to see you fine folks there.

    If it takes you more than 20 minutes to make CAS ready you're kinda too slow and you weren't worth the wait for the marines in the first place
