Odd choice to have this be the thread that survives, but okay, having only one is fair.

Anyway; I'll reiterate what I said, not telling the playerbase is one thing, but the person who's banned deserves to know the reason behind it. If it's a Quality Control ban, then you should say that, instead of a miscellaneous 'Threatening of Managers on a metacord' like that fucking means anything.

And the attitude of the mod team to basically let this sit in silence, or, to be very combative about it, or just say 'it's out of my hands lol sorry' is a joke.

Would like to say for the record that I was happy with how somenerd had managed this when I brought it up with them, and this post isn't a personal attack on any staff members.


However a standard has to be maintained, and if people are going to get basically shadowbanned from CM discord over comments outside the discord then it needs to be consistent. The people banned weren't even given the reason why, and I know for moltos case that their is literally no evidence. Staff SHOULD be held to a higher standard than the playerbase, but right now its the complete reverse of that. You can't have one and the other, its either "we don't police what people say in private" or you do, but you can't give a slap on the wrist for a staff member saying they want someone dead and then ban a player for doing the same.
