We had an influence of new players from Ssethtide. Some of them now probably are interested in trying out doctor. You cannot disallow that. I understand your frustration, getting stuck in medbay for 30 minutes because some baldo mcdoctor with fake MD doesn't know how to even take tools out of surgery tools. But we've all been there. We've all been that doctor. You gotta let people learn.
And no, CMO doesn't need to be whitelisted, at most, it could be time restricted.
Also please stop advertising this salt thread in OOC.

Like if you limit the doctor role to 10 fucking hours btw, and whitelist the CMO role, you'll find empty medbay on high pop constantly, and we're not even talking low pop.

While sethtide exists, replace medbay with 8 rooms of autodocs, replace sleepers with autodocs, replace CMO role with sentient autodoc, only then will OP be satisfied and able to play the game

For you to be so new as to be a first Time smartgunner, you should know by now that a lot of people are new. You fail to realise that if you are complaining about a job, you have to do something to fix that. So instead of going on a rant, teach these new players playing doctors how to be functional. And maybe steer them in a direction of, guides, wiki, or even tell them to hop on other stations to get use to space stations complex medical system. It's not going to help having cmo white listed, medbay would be dead. TL;DR don't complain about a job you're not willing to do.
