    I disagree.
Every good scout player plays with a cloak for a reason.

I've held chokes next to xeno hives as scout before and I never use the cloak. I exchange it for an AP loaded M41A with HEDPs as a backup weapon. AP bursts and UGL grenades are more than enough firepower and DPS to suppress and break contact with xenos if you unload on them up close. I also put a normal helmet which prevents meta target quite effectively. I find that to be a bigger advantage than 10 seconds of batman cloak which I don't really see the use of.

This way I get both the benefits of the armor's protection and speed while looking like a regular marine and the badass M4RA that effectively removes any xeno in a 15-tile range.

Similar thing can also be done with the Pyro spec.

Scout Cloak has its uses, more so to roleplay a Helldiver but I digress.

Nonetheless the cloak is a MASSIVE kill me sign when fighting xenos and I prefer to avoid those.

it depends on your loadout though,

I play scout with a cloak, M41 and the M4RA
Rotating between the M41 & M4RA is super easy with the E hotbind.
Cloak can save your life and help you take one, depends on the situation and circumstances.

    Also,
you dislike being targeted but you wear donor gear?
    Really makes you think.

I said I prefer avoiding having obvious Spec tells on me.

Besides, I got to flex my donor status somehow.

Use the cloak to cloak, duh

Sometimes you can do some epic solo flanks on resting beans, that's what you use it for.
