As others have said, if you don't want to get targeted either don't play spec or get rid of most of the gear that identifies you as a spec.
We tried the heat vision thingy I believe. It was taken out due to how unfair it was to benos/was broken or something.

Just fucking git gud. A metatargetting rule would be unenforceable and just lead to shitty specs salting up the forums every time they get stomped. Learn from your mistakes, use PFCs as cover, and realize that aliens are supposed to be intelligent creatures. Of course they are going to try and kill the guy launching rockets over some PFC with an SMG.

Sounds like more of an issue with positioning while still using your unga effectively. I'd recommend SG as practice because:

    1. Benos will still target you over most pfcs
    2. It's easier to get sg over spec, while still getting a fancy gun and equipment (don't fucking use a bc on your sg though)
    3. It helps with effective positioning, using pfcs as meat shields

Don't get discouraged, listen to the vets, and learn from your mistakes. Most importantly, have fun!

As hateful as it is, aliens in our universe are smarter than the usual bugs you see in movies and therefor are able to understand that you sir, shoot blue flames that just slain a crusher and need to be killed with high priority.

    Ain't really metatargetting.
As much as immediate retreat from a hugger isn't.

It's fair and it makes sense that specs and T3s get targeted. Dangerous roles merit the heat they bring.

Target assesment and threat assessment is a real thing, even for the most feral of animals.... which xenos are certainly on the highest spectrums of intelligence (at least in this sense) in CM.

Dont understand why this thread even exist? This is minor metagame and punished by specs own mistakes. Imagine benos having thread only about how marines focus Queen without any understanding of beno structure and running away before first screech.
Its not trapping LZ or metarushing vital areas of the map.

What the hell does that OB sentence even mean and how is it relevant.

Sometimes you just gotta suck it up that you're a target, xenos should not be brainlets that can't figure out that the big gun man is very dangerous. Git gud scrub.
