"Men, here is where we show those split-chin squid-head sons-of-bitches that they could not have picked a worse enemy than the human race! We are going to blow the hell out of those dumb bugs, until we don't have anything left to shoot 'em with! And then we are going to strangle them with their own-living-guts! Am I right, Marines?"
- Sergeant Major Avery Johnson. Halo CE
So, you've decided to join the UNSC Marine Corps, eh? They used to say that the biggest threat to Earth and her Colonies was the growing insurrection, and maybe that was true at one point in time...but now you face a new enemy. As of 2525, an alien conglomerate known simply as the Covenant threatens to wipe humanity off the face of the galaxy, razing colony after colony into nothing but a glassy slag.
That's where you come in. You and your squad of UNSC marines are the first line of defense against the Covenant war machine. Should it be required...you will join the ranks of the nameless heroes who gave everything for Earth and her colonies.

| Job | Role | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
![]() Squad Sergeant |
You're the top dog, everyone is subordinate to you. Keep your marines together, stay efficient. Make sure you understand your objectives sent to you by command or it'll all go to hell. Stick with your RTO, they've got the hot-line to your ride in orbit. Amount: 1 |
Hard |
![]() Radio Telephone Operator |
The only one in your squad with a high-powered radio telephone backpack. That means you're the one with a direct line to the Dark Was the Night after your pelican touches down. Make sure to stick with the Squad Leader. Don't forget your pack. Maybe one day they'll finally send you those support binoculars. Amount: 1 |
Easy |
![]() Fireteam Leader |
You lead a fireteam of marines which includes yourself, a corpsman, a weapons specialist, and two riflemen. Do your best to keep your men cohesive and together. If you do your job right, the marines in your fireteam might just make it out in one piece. Amount: 2 |
Medium |
![]() Hospital Corpsman |
The sergeants might be the guys who keep the squad together, but you're the one who keeps everyone literally together. Once someone is dead, they're gone for good. Don't let the pressure get to you...and remember you can't save them all. Amount: 2 |
Medium |
![]() Weapons Specialist |
As a weapons specialist you're able to choose from two unique weapons. The SRS-99 Anti-Materiel sniper rifle, capable of picking off enemies at long range, or the SPNKr "Jackhammer" two-shot rocket launcher. Even though you're given this special privilege, your whole presence doesn't revolve around your fancy gun. It's a support weapon, not a primary rifle. Amount: 2 |
Easy |
![]() Rifleman |
Rank and file grunt of the UNSC Marine Corps. Either a rookie with no experience or a hardened grunt that has managed to survive at least one engagement with the Covenant. Even if you don't get any fancy equipment, the Corps issued a rifle, and you don't need a degree to point and shoot. Amount: 4 |

The Lore
The year is 2537, 12 years ago a religious alien Empire calling itself the 'Covenant' attacked humanities distant Outer-Colonies, starting with the world of Harvest, with little warning and less explanation. The only reason we've learned why since then is that they consider us heretical and unclean, and that they will stop at nothing to kill every last one of us.
What you need to know is that every ugly mother of a member-species of this Covenant is absolutely merciless, fanatic and brutal. They do not take prisoners, they enjoy the suffering of those they do let live long enough to regret it. They rarely retreat, even in the face of certain death, and each one of them is more than capable of ripping a human being to shreds with their bare hands, claws or jaws like they were made of wet paper. Many of these alien bastards do just that.
You, with all your luck, are a member of the United-Nations-Space-Command Marine Corps, a multi-national interstellar branch of the combined human military. In particular, you are part of the 7th Battalion of the 21st Recomposite Infantry Regiment, short-formed as either the '7th Recom' or the official nickname of 'Rock Hoppers'.
The 21st RIR is the ragged remnants of other battalions, regiments and fleets which were totally obliterated in the fight against the Covenant, each formation taking so many losses that it was considered a pointless endeavour to rebuild your units from the ground up, which landed you all here.
As far as 'home' goes, you are deployed aboard the UNSC Charon Class Frigate 'Dark was the Night', with your ever present Smart-AI 'Voyager'. The operations you are assigned to are rarely easy, and statistically speaking? A violent end is to be expected.
But despite that, you are the only thing left standing between the whole of humanity and total annihilation, marine. So if you plan to get home safe, you'll move with a purpose and remind these split-lip rejects of creation that they couldn't of chosen a worse enemy than the human race!
