Playing a Hunter

As a Hunter, you become even stealthier than the Runner. You should be using your unique Cloak ability to hide in obscure corners and ambush lone or unsuspecting Marines. You're also far stronger and beefier than the Runner. You have more health, more armor, and you're overall just a more effective fighter. However, you trade this off for a slower speed.

You maintain your Pounce ability. You should use this to its maximum effectiveness. Note that you can pounce both in and out of cloak. This should terrify any unwary Marines. Being in cloak will slowly drain Plasma.

While your a fantastic ambusher, you're also good as a front line combatant. You deal a respectable amount of damage, you have a farily high disarm stun chance, and you have a lot more health than a Runner.

Stealth

Use the Hunt/Stalk button in your HUD to stealth:

But beware, while stealthed you will move much slower.

Hunter Evolution

You gain the ability to evolve into one of two unique alien roles.

The Ravager utterly forgoes any element of stealth or capture, instead focusing on maximizing the ability to kill Marines as rapidly as possible. You will lose your pouncing ability, but gain a rapid charge ability that can be used to get into combat and hit someone hard, or to get out of combat.

Alternatively, the Crusher forgoes most offensive abilities in exchange for a large health pool and near impenetrable frontal armor. You'll even be immune to most explosives. Outside of a anti-tank SADAR round, you'll be almost unkillable from the front. You also gain a unique stomp ability that can stun any Marines close to you.

Hunter Tactics

Similar tactics used by the Runner also work for the Hunter.
