The Executive Officer

You are the Executive Officer (A.K.A The X.O.) and is the second in command of the marines. You have been tasked with the same objective as the commander by commanding the marines. If there is no commander available you are next in line to be in command of the marines to brief them on the mission and command them. As the the second in command you have complete access to the ship so if there is (for example) no requisition officer you will need to temporarily fill that position until there is one.(This excludes being a doctor and a researcher). You can go down to the FOB if there is one setup to further command the marines BUT one commanding staff officer such as you or the commander must stay onboard the Sulaco and if you are, they are to stay on the ship until the you leave the FOB to return to the Sulaco and vice versa for the commander.

You are not authorized to have a fire arm that is bigger than a pistol and if caught you will be warned. Another thing about the X.O is that they have the ability to call in reinforcements via the communications console but you are to only do it if you really need it and same for the Commander.

The same principles as the commander and are under his/her command.
