Evolves To: Nothing
Role: Support the hive by plugging gaps where needed, moving hosts, saving the larger castes or charging the enemy to delay their advance.

General Information

  • You can spawn as a lesser drone from the hive core or a pyloned comms tower as long as the hive has a Queen and space to support another lesser drone.
    • You can inspect a hive core or pylon to see how many lesser drones can be supported and how many are currently active.
  • Lesser drones cannot speak or use the hivemind for the first three minutes of their life.
  • After dying, you must wait five minutes before you can spawn as a lesser drone.
    • If you die as a lesser drone, facehugger, or a Thunderdome mob, then you only need to wait one minute before you can respawn as a lesser drone.

Very Small Sized Passive: Your small size allows you to move under friendly xenomorphs.
Resin Bound Passive: You lose 5 health per tick when off weeds.

Used to rest and get up. Aliens heal faster when resting on weeds.

Release

To haul, grab a host with Ctrl + Click or Grab intent (3 in hotkey mode) then click yourself, keep still, this will start restraining them. To stop the host from getting up and running away, you can switch to an empty hand (X in hotkey mode) and keep tackling them using Disarm intent (2 in hotkey mode) when you are restraining them, once fully restrained you will haul them. Xenos hauling humans can not vent crawl but Xenos hauling monkeys can. Hosts with boot knives or other melee weapons can injure the Xenomorph they are being hauled by if they are conscious. Using this ability whilst hauling a host will free them from your grip, giving a moderate stun.

Plant Resin Node
Place a Resin node, which spreads weeds across a large area. Can't be planted if there is already a node on the tile or if it's on unsuitable ground to plant it on. An example would be grass or water.


You can only plant weed nodes on existing weeds that are connected to another node.
Costs 75 plasma.

Choose Resin Structure
Click to choose what resin structure to make. This opens up a menu of all buildable resin structures for you to choose from. The default structure is a Resin Wall.

Weird slime solidified into a wall. The most basic hive structure available to construct. Bullet resistant but won't do well against melee hits. Health Points: 900

Weird slime translucent enough to let light pass through. Allows non strain boilers to launch globs of acid over it. Health Points: 300

Resin door.png Resin Door

A door specifically made to allow other friendly xenomorphs to pass through. Requires a wall on either side to be able to build one. It's destroyed if nothing is supporting it on any side. Health Points: 600

Secrete Resin.png
Secrete Resin
Secrete the chosen Resin Structure on the a chosen tile next to you or on top of yourself.


Costs 120 plasma for Walls and Doors. Costs 95 plasma for Membranes.

Corrosive acid.png
Corrosive Acid
Vomit a glob of acid on the item to dissolve it. Multiple items can be clicked at once as long as you are standing still.


Costs 75 plasma.

Emit pheromones.png
Emit Pheromones
Emit one of the three Pheromones. It is advised to emit the pheromone that are not already being emitted, as pheromones don't stack except for Frenzy pheromone.


Your pheromones are of weak strength.

Tail Stab
Activating tail stab will begin a windup of one second, and upon conclusion, will enable you to launch a two tile attack that deals 1.2 times your maximum melee damage. It requires a direct click on the target's sprite, however, if it is missed, it only incurs a standard slash delay. Additionally, it will always hit the targeted limb.


Unless otherwise stated, this is shared by all strains.


Cooldown: 10 seconds.

Tactics

  • Your small size allows you to drag prone marines under other xenos, back deeper into the resin.
    • This can work very well in conjunction with the Queen's Screech or a Boiler's bombardment.
      • Especially if there is a nearby egg morpher, eggs, or facehuggers.
  • Your tail stab can deal a surprising amount of damage for your size, about the same as a runner's slash, if you can get close enough.
    • Your tailstab has a chance to break marine's splints or even break a bone if they are already heavily injured.
  • Open ground can be deadly to xenos; you can build cubes of 2x2 resin walls to provide quick cover.
  • Lesser drones can be invaluable in patching up holes in the hive's defense from any hive-diving marines or escaped infected.
  • Your expendability and speed can make you a powerful, pestering nuisance to marines by quickly running behind their front and attacking roller beds, medics, injured marines, or melting unprotected supplies before dying.
    • This works well when marines have pushed into caves.
