Colonial Marines has a variety of slang used. This is an uncompleted compilation of slang that can be found used on the server.

• AWOL = Absent Without Official Leave, desertion essentially
  
• Bird = Dropship Rasputin
  
• BO = Bridge Officer
  
• Borg = Cyborg
  
• CL = Corporate Liasion
• CO = Commanding Officer/Commander
  
• CQC = Close Quarters Combat
  
• FF = Friendly Fire
  
• FOB = Forward Operating Base
  
• Frag = Fragmentation grenade
  
• IC = In character
  
• KIA = Killed In Action
  
• LoF = Lane of Fire
  
• LoS = Lane of Sight
  
• LZ = Landing zone
  
• Medevac/Medivac = Medical Evacuation, usually by droppod or shuttle
  
• MIA = Missing In Action
  
• MP = Military Police
  
• MT = Maintenance Technician
  
• OB = Orbital Beacon or the Orbital Beacon strike itself
  
• OOC = Out of character
  
• Phoron = Plasma (from other SS13 servers) - Fancy fictional gas that works as the universe's "phlebotinum", highly flamable
  
• Polyacid = Polytrinic Acid
  
• RDS = Red Dot Sight
  
• RO = Requisitions Officer
  
• SL = Squad Leader
  
• SM = Supermatter Engine
  
• SSD = Space Sleep Disorder, an in game way of describing disconnected or ghosted players
• Tricord = Tricordrazine
  
• XO/ExO = Executive Officer
  
• WY = Weyland-Yutani
