Freelancer Mercenaries are a rag-tag team of guns for hire, roaming the cosmos for any kind of work that will get them paid. They are usually armed with less expensive less reliable equipment that still can usually get the job done making a living off of the weapons they use.
Overview
Freelancer Mercenaries are the less liked mercenary groups then the rest, however fortunate you may be in receiving these mercenaries know that they are equipped less then optimal equipment. They still are better then nothing, usually putting up a good fight before perishing, if at all.
Freelancer Mercenaries are infact guns for hire, which in turn means they aren't exactly willing to give their lives for the USCM unless they get paid. If things aren't already going down the crapper and there aren't xenomorphs trying to rip you to shreds make your way to the Combat Information Center and get paid. If they keep you in the dark with little to know about the threat ask for around 100k, the Merc's Captain decides how the profits are split.
(Recommended to Ahelp if you plan to be hostile) In some cases, you aren't guns for hire. You're drifters wandering the cosmos for any ship that seems easily raided, some would even call you space pirates. While very unlikely you can be hostile in most cases there won't be any backup, you are on your own. While you should listen to your captain you don't technically have to. It's recommended to listen to them unless you have a genuine reason to not, recommended to Ahelp if you aren't going to listen to your captain.
Standing Orders
The Freelancer Mercenaries follow their own orders and the order of the economy, you're here to make money and what ever the task is be it killing people, aliens, dragging corpses to medbay. Your number one goal is to make money, you look out for number one, yourselves. If you get paid for doing something that's looking out for #1.
