If you click on the button you will switch to aiming mode, how this works is after selecting the aiming mode, click on someone to have the target reticule appear, also giving them a message to stop moving. After 2 seconds, if they interact with anything, you will automatically fire at them. You can allow them to walk, run, or use items using icons that will appear on your HUD, but by default they can only use the radio. Clicking in their direction or on them again will fire at them. You can click another person to switch your focus to them. Click your gun or fire mode again to stop aiming at your target. | |||

- The PURPLE area contains 6 buttons, starting from left to right the first one you'll see is the button with the words labelled "Run" this shows that the your character is in run mode, effectively you'll run everywhere, if the player was to click that it would change to walk which is effectively where you'll walk everywhere.
Next we've got the box divided into 4 called the intent wheel in the top left is the Green intent, otherwise know as help intent which is the one the player currently has selected, this allows you to shake up your fellow marines to get them up if they've been stunned, hug them and perfrom CPR on them if they are sufficiently damaged. Next there is the Blue intent which is disarm, this allows you to disarm the mob you click on, you can't use this on xenos. Below disarm intent is grab intent, this is a yellow intent and when you grab a mob with this intent you won't cause it's wounds to bleed and tear open causing more damage but you will move slower, to grab someone just select the grab intent and then click on someone with an empty hand. Finally to the left of the grab intent you'll see a red intent which is harm, this allows you to point blank any enemy if they are in range or to attack them with your current object held.
Next is your AIMING target, this is the human figure in the bottom right of the Ui to the right of the intent wheel, this allows you to aim for someone's head, eyes, mouth, chest, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Right now you see the chest is being targetted by the player.
Above the aiming area button, you have three buttons, starting from the left, you have "Resist" which if you click it you'll resist, reasons to resist are if you are trapped in a resin nest you can resist to get out, if you are stuck in a welded locker you can resist to get out and you can resist to get out of handcuffs. The next button is "Drop", which if you click it, it will drop whatever is in your active hand at the time, the same can be done in hotkey mode with Q, and lastly there is the "Throw" button which if you click on it, it will toggle your throw on and if you then click on the desired tile you will throw the object in your active hand to the desired tile if the code allows it. You can quick toggle throw with R on hotkeys.
Lastly there is the button called "Fire" This is the default mode for firing guns. Simply click on a person or object (tile, wall, window, etc.) and you will fire the gun you are holding.Clicking on someone right next to you will make you fire a point blank shot at them for extra damage.
