# Chem Dispenser: If you were a marine, this would be your rifle. It dispenses the basic chemicals if a beaker is placed inside. Runs off battery charge which replenishes over time. Has several settings for dispensing chems (5 to 40 units).
# ChemMaster: This machine is used to precisely control the amount of chemicals in a beaker, creating bottles and pills.
#* Once a beaker is placed in, you can move desired amounts of it's contents to "buffer" by clicking on buttons present next to the name of the chemical. Clicking again while they're in "buffer" will flush them down disposals, aka they're lost forever. This setting can be changed by the button located between the beaker and buffer contents, just click it once to change to "transfer to beaker."
#* Pill bottles can be loaded into the machine by their boxes to hold created pills, you can choose multiple pill bottles to fill if needed.
#* You can make Phoron pills and dissolve them in your Phoron beaker as the quickest way of removing it from advanced chems.
#* You can label, colour and transfer the pill bottle directly to the Chemical Storage.
#* You can set the pills shape from some options.
#* You can set up presets to do both of the above customisation.
# Chemical Storage: Chemical storage aka the Smart-Fridge. It can hold beakers, bottles, pill bottles, pills, etc etc. Useful for not having your chems all over the floor, but people usually forget to check it when in need of something.
# Vendor: Holds restockable bottles of key reagents, extra beakers and extra boxes of pill bottle.
# Chemistry Locker: Holds the initial Cryoxadone meant for the cryo tubes. As well as additional boxes of pill bottles.
# Grinder/Juicer: This is used to extract chemicals out of many things. For your uses, it'll be mostly pills and food. Most commonly used for grinding solid Phoron for your Clonexadone and Peridaxon needs.
# Empty Reagent Tanks: Empty containers that the marines will want filled with all the drugs they could need for general use. (UNGA)

Equipment
*Beakers and Bottles:

**Most basic tool of your trade. Right-clicking one can change it's transfer amount per click. Pills can be dissolved in beakers that already contain something. If you "use" one while holding it in hand, you will put a lid on it, preventing you from splashing it's contents by clicking on the floor by mistake. They come in bottle/small beaker - 60u, large beaker - 120u, and bluespace beaker - 300u. There's only one bluespace beaker on the map, so don't put it in a grenade.
{| class="wikitable"
*Dropper:
|-
**Like beakers, can be right-clicked for transfer amount. Used for moving small amounts of chemicals between other containers.
! Equipment !! Description
*Syringe:
|-
**Has two modes switched by "using" it - draw and inject. Hold 15u max, draw 5u per click. Can be used to take blood samples and inject them into mass spectometers for analysis. Using it on harm intent will instantly inject a random amount of the chemical inside while dealing minor brute damage and destroying the syringe. Injecting someone else takes a short time of both standing motionless.

*Injector:
* Most basic tool of your trade. Right-clicking one can change it's transfer amount per click. Pills can be dissolved in beakers that already contain something. If you "use" one while holding it in hand, you will put a lid on it, preventing you from splashing it's contents by clicking on the floor by mistake.
**These hold 15u max. Can be emptied and refilled via the use of a syringe. They deliver their entire capacity in one click, instantly, but are one use-only. Pre-loaded injectors cannot be filled with more than their initial amount, for example a dexalin plus autoinjector can hold only 1u no matter how hard you try to refill it. Pills can be dissolved into an injector apparently as long as it already contains something, but as with beakers, anything over the max capacity will be wasted.
* They come in bottle/small beaker - 60u, large beaker - 120u, and high-capacity beaker - 500u.
*Pill:
|-
**60u max. Takes some time to use on someone, like the syringe. There's also a tiny delay between swallowing a pill and it's contents entering your bloodstream, but it's too little to matter. Can be dissolved in a beaker already containing a solution.
| Dropper ||
*Pill Bottle:
* Like beakers, can be right-clicked for transfer amount. Used for moving small amounts of chemicals between other containers.
**Holds 16 pills max. Clicking on a tile with pills on it while holding the bottle will pick up all the pills scattered on it.
|-
*Syringe Case:
| Syringe ||
**Holds three syringes/bottles/injectors.
* Has two modes switched by "using" it - draw and inject.
*Hypospray:
|-
**Holds 30 units, comes pre-loaded with tricordrazine. Can be drained and refilled with a syringe. Instantly injects 5u doses.
| Injector ||
*Labellers and Pens:
* Default ones hold 15u max. Injectors with bigger capacity can be made at the medilathe in research. They can be filled at the centrifuge in research. Pre-loaded injectors cannot be filled with more than their initial amount, for example, a dexalin plus autoinjector can hold only 1u no matter how hard you try to refill it.
**Labels can be put on anything you can click on. If you use the labeller on something two times, it will look like this: pill bottle (organ damage) (safe dose: 2)
|-
**Pens replace the name of a chem-master bottle, so instead of bottle (peridaxon) you get a Peridaxon bottle.
| Pill ||

Chemical mixes
*How do they mix?:
Various common mixes of medical reagents are ordered by hospital corpsmen. All of these recipes assume that you are using a high-capacity beaker.
Recipes have ratios in parts. For example, Dylovene is <code>1 part Nitrogen, 1 part Potassium and 1 part Silicon</code>, resulting in 3 parts Dylovene.

| nitrogenwaterNitrogenWater (10u, 10u)
More commonly referred to as NW. Helps deal with Tramadol overdoses by reacting with in the body to create Paracetamol, which has a higher overdose threshold of 60u compared to Tramadol's 30u.
<br>
Tramadol overdose neutralizer. Does not fix toxin damage caused by the overdose.
<br>
This medical reagent has no overdose threshold. It should however be noted that Tramadol and Paracetamol are toxic when mixed together. It is advised to double-check the patient for high levels of tramadol before using NW.

Peridaxon, on the other hand, is <code>1 part Bicaridine, 1 part Clonexadone and 5 units Phoron (catalyst)</code>, meaning that any amount of Bicaridine and Clonexadone will mix as long as there's 5 units of Phoron present.
Split into 8 pills. Repeat the recipe for another 8 pills.<br>
|-
| feIron (15u)
Also known as it's chemical name of Fe. Adding Sugar to the mixture does not help restore more blood. Sugar is nutritious to an extent (NTR 1) but not Hemogenic. Results in 240u of Iron. <br>

Most chems mix in a direct radio, where 30 of one ingredient and 30 of another will equal 60 of your final product. If there is a catalyst present, it will not be used up in the reaction.
Overdoses at 30u. <br>

Remember to always add the catalyst last, or you will end up with fucked up ratios and things like "5.982329779799999 units".
Hemogenic level 3 (HMG 3). Restores lost blood faster.
The metabolism rates shown here are based on server tick rate. During times of lag ticks come slower.

ironnutrimentIronNutriment (7.5u, 7.5u)
<br>
Also known as FN. Superior to normal Iron in terms of blood restoration. Results in 120u of Nutriment and 120u of Iron.

Overdoses at 30u due to the Iron being present in the reagent. <br>

<big>While there's no hard OD limits for some chemicals, this should not be taken as it being safe to consume massive dosages.</big>
Nutriment can't be dispensed, and is gained by grinding various foods, most commonly protein bars. A full satchel of 15 protein bars ground up will result in exactly 120 Nutriment. Of note, the grinder can only grind 10 at once, so it will need to be done twice.

| UNGA

UNGA is a mix of commonly used medicines combined into one for marine convenience.
|style="width: 40%"| OD limits depend on the chemicals in contained in the UNGA juice.
For this mix it is 15u due to containing Dermaline.
It is recommended to add all the medicines in the high-capacity beaker first, then remove certain amounts in the ChemMaster so that every chemical is 12u.
This is used to make a full bottle (60u) containing equal proportions.

*Add 12u Tricordrazine,
*Add 12u Bicaridine,
*Add 12u Kelotane,
*Add 12u Dermaline,
*Add 12u Oxycodone,
*Add 12u Meralyne
|style="width: 20%"| Add the following to the tank:
*Add 120u Bicaridine ,
*Add 120u Kelotane,
*Add 60u Inaprovaline,
*Add 60u Dylovene,
*Add 120u Oxycodone
Add the following to a beaker:

* Add 40u Bicaridine,
* Add 40u Kelotane,
* Add 40u Carbon, Water,
* Add 40u Oxygen, Phosphorus

Add the beaker's contents to the tank.

Chemicals
The amount of a certain chemical in a marine's blood decreases by its metabolism value every life tick. Life ticks happen once every 2 seconds. The "effect" column contains the chemical's effects per tick unless stated otherwise.
The ratio column indicates how much of the chem you get when mixing. For example, a chem with a ratio of 4:4 takes 4 units of its component chemicals to make 4 units of the chemical itself.
Chems marked with (CATALYST) are not expended during the reaction.
The "OD" column for some chemicals has two numbers. The first is the threshold for the "normal" OD, the second is for critical OD. The next column "OD effects" contains the consequences of overdosing on this reagent. (C) indicates the effect of a critical overdose.

Cocktails and drinks can be found here.

OOC Note
Only Doctors, Researchers, Nurses and the CMO should be messing with chemical substances. Hospital Corpsmen should be aware of overdose thresholds and medications that cause harm when mixed in a patient.

Tools of the Trade

  1. Chem Dispenser: If you were a marine, this would be your rifle. It dispenses the basic chemicals if a beaker is placed inside. Runs off battery charge which replenishes over time. Has several settings for dispensing chems (5 to 40 units).
    Chemistry Lab
  2. ChemMaster: This machine is used to precisely control the amount of chemicals in a beaker, creating bottles and pills.
    • Once a beaker is placed in, you can move desired amounts of it's contents to "buffer" by clicking on buttons present next to the name of the chemical. Clicking again while they're in "buffer" will flush them down disposals, aka they're lost forever. This setting can be changed by the button located between the beaker and buffer contents, just click it once to change to "transfer to beaker."
    • Pill bottles can be loaded into the machine by their boxes to hold created pills, you can choose multiple pill bottles to fill if needed.
    • You can make Phoron pills and dissolve them in your Phoron beaker as the quickest way of removing it from advanced chems.
    • You can label, colour and transfer the pill bottle directly to the Chemical Storage.
    • You can set the pills shape from some options.
    • You can set up presets to do both of the above customisation.
  3. Chemical Storage: Chemical storage aka the Smart-Fridge. It can hold beakers, bottles, pill bottles, pills, etc etc. Useful for not having your chems all over the floor, but people usually forget to check it when in need of something.
  4. Vendor: Holds restockable bottles of key reagents, extra beakers and extra boxes of pill bottle.
  5. Chemistry Locker: Holds the initial Cryoxadone meant for the cryo tubes. As well as additional boxes of pill bottles.
  6. Grinder/Juicer: This is used to extract chemicals out of many things. For your uses, it'll be mostly pills and food. Most commonly used for grinding solid Phoron for your Clonexadone and Peridaxon needs.
  7. Empty Reagent Tanks: Empty containers that the marines will want filled with all the drugs they could need for general use. (UNGA)

Equipment

Equipment Description
Beakers and Bottles
  • Most basic tool of your trade. Right-clicking one can change it's transfer amount per click. Pills can be dissolved in beakers that already contain something. If you "use" one while holding it in hand, you will put a lid on it, preventing you from splashing it's contents by clicking on the floor by mistake.
  • They come in bottle/small beaker - 60u, large beaker - 120u, and high-capacity beaker - 500u.
Dropper
  • Like beakers, can be right-clicked for transfer amount. Used for moving small amounts of chemicals between other containers.
Syringe
  • Has two modes switched by "using" it - draw and inject.
Injector
  • Default ones hold 15u max. Injectors with bigger capacity can be made at the medilathe in research. They can be filled at the centrifuge in research. Pre-loaded injectors cannot be filled with more than their initial amount, for example, a dexalin plus autoinjector can hold only 1u no matter how hard you try to refill it.
Pill
  • 60u max. Takes some time to use on someone, like the syringe. There's also a tiny delay between swallowing a pill and its contents entering your bloodstream, but it's too little to matter. Can be dissolved in a beaker already containing a solution.
Pill Bottle
  • Holds 16 pills max. Clicking on a tile with pills on it while holding the bottle will pick up all the pills scattered on it.
Hypospray
  • Holds 30 units, and comes pre-loaded with tricordrazine. Can be drained and refilled with a syringe or unloaded and loaded with vial. Instantly injects 5u doses.
Syringe Case
  • Holds three syringes/bottles/injectors.
Labellers and Pens
  • Labels can be put on most things you can click on. Only one label may be applied to an item. Activate the labeller without entering a label to remove them.
  • Pens replace the name of a chem-master bottle, so instead of bottle (Peridaxon) you get a Peridaxon bottle.

Description Bottle Tank + Bottle
UNGA

UNGA is a mix of commonly used medicines combined into one for marine convenience.

OD limits depend on the chemicals in contained in the UNGA juice.

For this mix it is 15u due to containing Dermaline. It is recommended to add all the medicines in the high-capacity beaker first, then remove certain amounts in the ChemMaster so that every chemical is 12u. This is used to make a full bottle (60u) containing equal proportions.

  • Add 12u Tricordrazine,
  • Add 12u Bicaridine,
  • Add 12u Kelotane,
  • Add 12u Dermaline,
  • Add 12u Oxycodone,
  • Add 12u Meralyne
Add the following to the tank:
  • Add 120u Bicaridine ,
  • Add 120u Kelotane,
  • Add 60u Inaprovaline,
  • Add 60u Dylovene,
  • Add 120u Oxycodone

Add the following to a beaker:

  • Add 40u Bicaridine,
  • Add 40u Kelotane,
  • Add 40u Carbon, Water,
  • Add 40u Oxygen, Phosphorus

There are seven types of reactions:

  • Endothermic
    The reaction causes a big temperature drop. This significantly slows the reaction speed.
  • Exothermic
    The beaker will start to smoke, and after a few seconds, ignite for a short time. Counter this by having water in the beaker equal to or greater than the amount of the resulting chemical.
  • Foaming
    When reacting, foam chunks pop off from the beaker and have a chance to get some chemicals on you. To protect yourself wear a bio suit and hood.
  • Glowing
    The reaction causes a faint glow for a short period.
  • Inert
    The reaction occurs instantly with no side effects.
  • Smoking
    A few seconds after reacting, a smoke cloud spreads some chemicals on you each tick you are in the cloud. To protect yourself: wear a bio hood, wear a gas mask, activate the beaker in-hand to close it before it starts smoking, or mix it in a reagent tank.
  • Special. These uniquely affect certain chemicals, mainly a few explosive and flammable chems.

All reactions on this page are inert unless stated otherwise.

Basic

Most of these chemicals have little use outside of making more complex ones and can be acquired while on the Almayer from chemical dispensers or via other means.
