S-52 Fusion Reactor

The location of the Almayer's Fusion Reactors are in lower engineering which is one large open area with 18 fusion reactors that require setup. If you keep all the Reactors on throughout the round you'll run out of fuel cells too quickly, keep this in mind for setup. Overall there are 32 fuel cells in the fusion reactor setup room in lower engineering.

When you first come into Engineering at round start (or as a late join) you'll want to fix all the Reactors and turn them on to get the SMES's on each deck with 100% power stored. After that happens, you can start playing around with how many Reactors and SMES's actually need to be on/outputting to be power efficient.

Remember that when you first fix the Reactors you can simply just click on them to start them after fixing everything as they start with fuel cells in.

Repairing The Reactors

If you leave the Reactors and don't return to them, they will break if they run out of fuel, sometimes it is a minor break. Other times it will take a few minutes to fix. Remember that at the start of the round the reactors already have fuel cells in them so just repair the reactors then click on them. Reactors can also break while they're producing power but this will normally only be a minor break, however if this does happen note that a new fuel cell is not required. Always examine (Shift Click) the reactors to see how much fuel is in them as when the reactors break the fuel gauge won't be powered any more so it won't display visually how much fuel is left.

Refuelling The Reactors

To refuel the fusion reactors click on them with an empty hand to turn them off and then crowbar the reactor to open the fuel slot, this will eject the empty fuel cell into your hand or on to the floor. Then pick up a WL-6 universal fuel cell, they look like this, WL-6 universal fuel cell.png and click on the reactor with the WL-6 fuel cell in hand to replace it with the shiny new one, after that's done just click on the reactor and it'll be good to go again. Currently you can't get any more fuel cells but you can use the fuel recycler Fuel Recycler.png to slowly regen fuel back into the fuel cells.

Critical Fuel Levels In The Reactor
Description: This is a S-52 Fusion Reactor when it is at a critical level of fuel, when the reactors monitor is displayed like this click on the reactor with an empty hand to switch off the reactor then place a new fuel cell in. If you don't do that the Reactor will run out of fuel and have a breakdown varying from minor to major.

Note that if you click on a reactor with an empty hand and it requires fuel a message will displayed on the reactor which is:

ERROR: FUEL CELL DEPLETED. Please replace.
