An evolution of the Sentinel, the Spitter trades some of its speed for more powerful acidic abilities. Retaining the ability to spit neurotoxin in addition to blobs of burning acid, the Spitter is able to suppress groups of enemies at range.
The Hive
Building on the defensive capabilities of the Sentinel, the Spitter brings additional firepower to the xeno arsenal. While still able to disable single foes with its neurotoxin, the Spitter's ability to provide splash damage with its acid spit allows for new ways to defend against incoming foes.
A stronger corrosive acid also allows the Spitter to open up new points of access in enemy fortifications without putting the Queen herself at risk. The ability to flank enemies from previously unavailable angles can be all the advantage required to a skilled group of xenos.
Unique Abilities
- Neurotoxin: A weak ranged stun, if this attack successfully collides with a Human, and it is not blocked via a Riot Shield, it'll stun the target for a few brief seconds. The stun is not as long as a melee attack but it can be sufficient to chase down the target, or at least force them to lose their weapon.
- Strong Corrosive Acid: This ability is identical to the Sentinel's Corrosive Acid ability, sans it is far more effective. However it consumes more plasma to use.
- Acid Spit: When fired this will spit a slow moving projectile that, when it hits any target, will deal burning damage to the affected target and can seriously slow down an advance. ( Note, will also destroy grilles if you click on the grille directly, two shots)
